Prince, released on October 19th, 1979 , was Prince's 2nd full-length studio album. The album produced 5 commercially-released singles, "I Wanna Be Your Lover", "Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad?", "Still Waiting", and "Sexy Dancer".
The album reached number 22 on The Billboard Top LP's & Tapes Chart and number 3 on the Billboard Soul LPs chart. It was certified platinum by the RIAA, indicating 1,000,000 copies shipped in the USA.
