I Wanna Be Your Lover was the first single from Prince's second album Prince. It was release two months prior to the release of the album. The B-Side, My Love Is Forever, is from Prince's first album, For You.
In some places, the single included Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad? , I Feel For You, or Just As Long As We're Together (For You), instead of My Love Is Forever.
