Lovesexy, released in May of 1988, was Prince's tenth full-length studio album. The album contains the iconic hits: "Alphabet St." and "Glam Slam." Lovesexy was certified gold by the RIAA on December 5, 1988.
The album reached number 11 on the US Billboard Top Pop Albums chart and charted at number 5 on the Billboard Top Black Albums Chart.

Prince made a special request in his artist statement that this album was not split into tracks, but released as one 45:07 track, designed to be listened to in its entirety.
