1999, released in October of 1982, was Prince's fifth full-length studio album. The album went on to be one of the most memorable pieces of Prince's catalog to date. With classics like 'Little Red Corvette' and the infamous '1999', 1999 has been certified 4x platinum by the RIAA.
The album reached number 9 on the US Billboard Top LP's and Tapes Albums Chart and charted at number 4 on the Billboard Black LPs Chart.
